Joining AEMS
Anteater Emergency Medical Services underwent their first virtual recruiting season with their members in the fall of 2020.

This fall, AEMS is looking for new members once again. We will be hosting information sessions for prospective applicants to learn more about who we are, what we do, and how to join.
​
Information Sessions will be hosted via Zoom from 09/30 and 10/01 at 6PM.

Information Sessions are required for EMTs that want to work AEMS!

EMT Requirements
To register as an AEMS Emergency Medical Technician-Basic, you must have or be in the process of fulfilling the following:

Must be a student currently enrolled at University of California, Irvine

Must fulfill the TB and immunization requirements of the UCI Student Health Center here

Must obtain yearly Flu Shot.

Orange County Ambulance Driver/Attendant License
-
State of CA EMT-B accreditation
-
CPR Certification Recognized by OCEMS
-
AHA- "BLS for the Healthcare Provider"

Driver's license or valid form of identification

General Member Requirements
The General Member position is open to all UCI students who are currently not EMTs but are intending in obtaining an EMT license or have a general interest in Emergency Medicine. General Members attend weekly training sessions, workshops, lectures, and get a first-hand experience of what it's like being an AEMS EMT.
